HK BAKED RICE* FOR MR TONG.

As had arranged a briefing with Ms Vicki Fong we went down to VTE- Chai Wan at 9am to meet her. She gave us choice of modules to attend during the stay though we are allow to do the choosing but we still stick to our original as decide by Ms Priya which are Food Sensory Evaluation and Management of Food Safety. During the discussion, we found out that lesson planned was on weekly bases For e.g at week 7,9,10,13 will have practical class and the rest of the weeks will have no classes. Overall, we need not have attend class for certain week if is not stated in the timetable as a result we have some free time at particular week so we suggested to her that we will assist the lab technician in their daily work e.g calibration of equipment, prepare reagent, learn to operate machine or attend other modules e.g Nutrition, Food Packaging, Cosmetic. After discussion, she brought us around the campus so that we know where is the location of the different facilities.

Ms Fong invited us to attend a seminar regarding Food Biotechnology on genetic modification of crops by USDA we have a fulfilling session there. You can log on to their website for details on the presentation www.usfoods-hongkong.net. We have our dinner at a Halal restaurant found by Amin! (:

Tomorrow we will reporting to Chai Wan Campus for our lab work. Following are some pictures we took today.
